Before someone books flight training, they usually have questions.
What will it cost? Am I too old? How long will it take? What does a flying lesson actually feel like?
Adventure Aviation helps future pilots take those first steps through training in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Fort St. John, British Columbia.
When EV Agency began managing its social media in March 2026, we built the strategy around those questions. We wanted people to get useful answers, see the training experience and understand what to do next.
That gave the content a clear purpose: build trust, educate future pilots and guide the right people toward a Discovery Flight or training conversation.
TL;DR
- Built a 12-month social media plan around 3–5 posts per week.
- Created hundreds of custom photo and video assets, plus 35 educational social videos.
- Produced four landing-page videos and a vlog-style series following real PPL training.
- Connected helpful content with clear website journeys, calls to action and measurement.
- Student-focused paid campaigns recorded 2,809 landing-page views at about 7¢ each.

What the Client Needed
Choosing a flight school is a meaningful decision. People are considering their time, budget and, in some cases, a future career.
A photograph of an aircraft can catch attention. But someone thinking about training also needs to understand the people, process and commitment behind it.
Adventure Aviation needed content that could help with those decisions while showing what made its training experience its own.
The work also needed consistency. We built a 12-month plan around 3–5 posts a week, supported by a library of original photography and video.
At the same time, the content needed somewhere useful to lead. Clear website pages, relevant calls to action and measurement were part of the plan from the start.
The goal was to help people move from being curious about flying to feeling ready for a conversation.
What We Delivered
The programme combined ongoing social media management with a substantial library of original content.
The work included:
- A 12-month content plan: A steady direction for 3–5 weekly posts, with room for timely updates.
- Hundreds of custom photo and video assets: Original material showing the people, aircraft and training behind Adventure Aviation.
- 35 educational social videos: Clear answers to questions future pilots ask before choosing a school or course.
- Four landing-page videos: Video content that supports the training information and next steps on the website.
- A vlog-style PPL web series: A real student journey showing what working toward a Private Pilot Licence is like.
- Student milestones and success stories: Content that recognises progress and shows the human side of training.
- Brand and offer content: Invitations to explore training, meet an instructor or enquire about a Discovery Flight.
- Paid social promotion: Targeted support for selected educational content, training pages and recruitment needs.
- Measurement connected to the website: Meta Pixel and website analytics to support decisions beyond likes and views.
These assets gave Adventure Aviation its own material to teach with, promote and build on over time.
They also meant the social channels and website could support the same customer journey.
How We Captured the Story (On-the-Ground Approach)
The creative direction was simple: make flight training feel understandable and show what the experience looks like.
For the educational videos, we used a clear structure:
- Open with a question or concern.
- Explain one useful idea.
- Add context from the training experience.
- Give the viewer a relevant next step.
Topics included realistic training budgets, how long a licence can take, starting later in life and choosing between training paths.
The aim was to sound like a helpful instructor talking to a future student. Clear, encouraging and grounded in safety.
The PPL web series had a different role. It let viewers follow a real student through lessons, challenges and milestones, including the first solo flight.
That gave people a closer look at the learning process. They could see the preparation, instruction, practice and progress involved.
The series became a central part of the website’s buyer journey. Someone could arrive through a social post, explore the training pages and watch the experience unfold before deciding to enquire.
The FAQs answered practical concerns. The landing-page videos explained the offer. The series helped viewers picture themselves taking part.
Together, those formats made the path into training easier to see.
The Results (Proof You Can Feel)
The content produced measurable activity across Facebook and paid social.
For Facebook posts published between March 20 and November 5 in each year, the recorded results were:
| Facebook measure | 2025 (Full Year) | 2026 (March to November) |
| Posts published | 139 | 140 |
| Recorded post views | 207,700 | 345,506 |
| Link clicks | 593 | 2,534 |
| Video watch time | 40.4 hours | 260.1 hours |
These are accumulated lifetime results for posts published within those dates. They include organic distribution, paid promotion and recruitment content. Views can include repeat viewing.
With almost the same number of posts, the 2026 content earned 66% more views, 4.3 times as many link clicks and 6.4 times as much video watch time. Comments also increased by 63%, showing more conversation around the content.
This reflects our philosophy: memes and entertainment can catch attention, while useful educational content gives people a reason to follow, ask questions and keep exploring.
For Adventure Aviation, that meant answering real concerns about flight training and giving future pilots a clear next step.
Facebook’s audience also grew from 3,022 to 3,321 followers between May and August 2026, an increase of nearly 10%. Alongside the stronger click and viewing results, that growth supports the direction of a strategy built around useful content, trust and action.
Helpful questions brought people to the website
Student-focused paid campaigns recorded 2,809 landing-page views for CA$205.30, averaging about 7¢ per landing-page view.
For example:
- The Private Pilot Licence page promotion recorded 813 landing-page views.
- The flight-school page promotion recorded 552 landing-page views.
- The CPL cost promotion recorded 722 landing-page views.
Those results belong to the campaigns measured for landing-page views. The cost covers their media spend; content production and management are separate.
Educational videos also found an audience. The video about starting flight training at 45 accumulated 14,341 views, while the PPL budget video accumulated 10,108 views, with paid promotion contributing to distribution.
Clear measurement keeps the next step in focus
Good marketing needs strategy and data.
We connected the content with website journeys shaped through StoryBrand, clear calls to action and practical next steps. Meta Pixel and website analytics added measurement to that path.
This lets us assess different actions separately: watching content, visiting a page, submitting an enquiry and becoming a student.
These results show content and website traffic. Confirmed Discovery Flight bookings and enrolments need to be tracked separately.
That distinction keeps the work accountable and gives future decisions a useful starting point.
A Few Lessons From This Project
The strongest content choices came from understanding what future students needed to feel and know.
This project reinforced five practical lessons:
- Give content a job. Education, student stories, offers and longer videos can support different stages of a decision.
- Use the questions people already ask. Costs, timelines and beginner concerns are useful topics because they help people plan.
- Show the experience. A real training journey gives viewers context that a course description alone can’t provide.
- Build a library. Original photography and video give ongoing marketing more depth and consistency.
- Measure each step honestly. A video view, website visit, enquiry and enrolment are different outcomes.
A clear strategy brings those pieces together. Each post becomes part of a wider path toward an informed next step.
